Everyone had to write journals in elementary school. Very few have the obsessive nature to keep them for sixteen years. And even fewer will take the time to scan and write endless paragraphs about them. These entries may be funny, sad, or at the very least, a unique look into the psyche of eight-year-olds in the late 1980s.
I'll add a few entries every week until I get to the end of the second book. I also have my journals from the fourth grade, but they are boring. It appears I developed a sense of shame in the summer of '88.

About Third Grade Brian:
He is so tiny, that when it's time for the class picture, only the top of his head can been seen over the girls sitting in the front row.
